The novel overall was really great. It had a great plot and kept readers attention. People who have read John Steinbeck’s other work such as The Grapes of Wrath, will most likely enjoy this novel too. Or if they enjoy authors such as Jonathan Franzen, Tennesse Williams, or Theodore Dreiser then they will more than likely enjoy this book.
